Apprentice competes in Young Plumber of Year competition
Adam Evans, aged 18, took part in the finals of the Young Plumber of the Year competition, held at Swindon College. He was against finalists from nine colleges across the UK but his superb work impressed the judges. He was awarded a complete set of plumbing tools by sponsors Monument Tools.
Nick Hawkins, lecturer in plumbing, said: "From the start of his level 2 plumbing course Adam was prepared to put in the effort to succeed.
"We saw there was considerable improvement in his work over time, which is why we felt able to recommend him to RJ Mitchell and Son who now employ Adam as an apprentice. His continued effort and perseverance have paid off, and as a result we are very proud of his achievement as runner-up in the regional Plumbing Skills Competition."
The Plumb Skills Competition was sponsored by Plumb Fix and Monument Tools.
