Ceramics
During the year you will have the opportunity to gain practical experience of a wide range of approaches, from hand building to throwing on a potter's wheel - all the basic skills of the ceramicist will be covered. You will be able to develop many surface techniques from texture to slip-decoration, discover ways of obtaining colour and learn about glazing for both earthenware and stoneware clays. This seven week programme will introduce you to the process of making moulds to produce ceramic objects. Under expert tuition. Learn how to prepare plaster moulds and unlock the secrets of producing beautiful slip cast forms. Work can be developed using a variety of decorative processes.Ceramics - Saturday - May
