Carpentry and Joinery
We offer a range of Carpentry and Joinery qualifications, from Foundation through to Advanced level, as well as College-based and work-based options.
If you are new to construction you will study for the Foundation Construction Award in year 1 and the Intermediate Construction Award/NVQ2 in year 2. Pathways are available in either Site Carpentry or Bench Joinery. In order to achieve an Advanced Construction Award/NVQ3, you would stay on for a third year.
For experienced people working in the industry who do not hold any formal qualifications, we are able to offer the OSAT (on site assessment and training) route to obtain an NVQ. You will follow an individual action plan to fill any skills gaps, and will be assessed as you go along.
Courses can be tailored to suit individual training needs with various attendance patterns.
