You can enrol at any time - by post or fax. For application form contact Mary-Anne Couzins - details below. When applying please make sure you send:
- The enrolment form - the whole form must be completed
- Any necessary supplementary forms (CO15 - Authority for Invoicing Fees; CO24 - Standing Order Mandate)
- The payment for the fees due
Aim of the Course
The course objective is to provide a comprehensive study of all aspects of the maintenance of highways, including the inspection and measurement of the condition of roads, the maintenance of flexible roads, rigid roads, footways, signs and markings, highway structures and the problems of cyclic maintenance and emergency works.
Who is the course for?
Highways Open Tech courses are for anyone working, or planning to work, in the highways industry. Our advisors can help you choose the programme to meet your needs. There is no age limit, but mature students or people already in the industry will benefit particularly from these courses.
As the courses are by distance learning, the College is pleased to accept students outside the EU and overseas. There is an additional charge for postage.

The course is self-contained and extends the foundation course Highway Technology for those wishing to study the subject in more depth.
Assessment
Successful completion of four assignments. There is no examination.

We can invoice employers if Form CO15 is completed. If requested we can keep you informed of your employees progress. If you are enroling 6 or more students on full courses, please contact us and we will be able to negiotate a group discount.
