Aim of the Course
To enable you to return to education and improve your skills. The course also aims to develop your confidence and self esteem.
Who is the Course for?
Anyone who left education with few or no formal qualifications and feels they need to improve their basic skills in the key areas of literacy, numeracy and IT.

National Open College Network.
Course Content
Units are designed to improve English, Maths and IT skills and bring you up to Level 1 standard. You will also develop your study skills, build up a portfolio and develop your personal skills.
Assessment
The course is assessed through written and oral assignments. To pass the course and achieve your Level 1 you need to gain a certain number of credits. Each unit you do has a number of credits attached to it, and as you progress through the course and complete work to the required level, you will gain the credits.

Basic stationery.

You can progress to the Level 2 Diploma for Progression or other Level 2 courses.
