New students get a taste of college life
Hundreds of new students visited City of Bath College this week to get their first experience of further education through a series of induction days.
The school-leavers, who will start at the College in September, met with their tutors and had the chance to familiarise themselves with the College buildings.
The College's Media, Music and Performing Arts department had around 50 students visit them for the day. The new recruits had the chance to look around the state-of-the-art facilities and used the IT rooms to try out music software. Others were able to play instruments in the practice rooms.
Mark Smithers, Music Lecturer, said: "These induction days are a really useful way for new students to get to know each other and their tutors. It also gives them the chance to familiarise themselves with their new surroundings and experience some of the College's excellent facilities before they formally begin their studies."
