Business BTEC Level 2 (First Diploma)
The course is for students with an interest in learning how organisations, both large and small, operate on a day-to-day basis, and about gaining employment with one of these firms or even starting their own business in the future.Edexcel
Course Content
The course is made up of six units that are completed throughout the year:
• Exploring Business Purpose
• Developing Customer Relations
• Investigating Financial Control
• Business Communication
• People in organisations
• Starting a Small Business
To join the course
Four GCSE's at D or above or a BTEC introductory Diploma with a Merit profile in a related subject.
Course length
One year
Methods of study
Classroom-based, with projects, reports, presentations, visits, guest speakers and working individually or in small groups.
Moving on to another course or career
Progress to the BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Business, having obtained a Merit profile, or onto employment.
