Who is the course for?
The course is for people looking to gain an initial introduction into the world of IT in the Business environment. There will be a strong practical element to this course with learners developing skills to aid them to seek employment in a business or office environment.

4 x GCSE at G or above or equivalent

Units on the course include:
- Working in Business & Administration
- IT User Fundamentals
- Communicating Electronically
- Presentation Software
- Job Opportunities in IT & Business Administration.
- The Internet & World Wide Web
Methods of study
Learners study in College, but will undertake visits to real businesses.
Assessment
All assessment is by either coursework, presentation, or practical activity.

Learners will need to buy the course textbook.
Moving on to another course or career
On successful completion of this course you can progress into employment, to an apprenticeship, or onto one of the BTEC Level 2 Diplomas in Business, IT, or Enterprise & Entrepreneurship at the College.
