Aim of the course
The course will extend the learner's underpinning and knowledge skills whilst starting to work on design skills in preparation for anyone wishing to progress further within the industry.

The creative design process for florists
Diverse tied floral designs
Diverse floral designs for weddings
Assembly of diverse floral arrangements
Assembly of diverse floral designs for sympathy tributes
Working in the Floristry Industry
Function and event decoration using floral designs
Process, cost and evaluate diverse floral designs
To join the course
Level 2 Award, Certificate, Diploma in Floristry or equivalent or extensive experience in the Floristry Industry.
Course length
One year.
Methods of study
Each unit will be assessed by a series of practical assessments supported by written assignments. There is a written question paper covering all aspects of the course at the end of the year.
Assessment
Practical assessments throughout the year and 1 hour 45 minute written exam at the end of the course.

Moving on to another course or career
Students move on to a career in retail floristry or in a related service industry, such as cruise ships, working abroad, marketing, wholesale industry and hotel and event decoration. Level 4 is also an option.
