African Conservation Experience organise volunteering placements at wildlife conservation projects in southern Africa. We are the most experienced organisation in our field, having been in operation for over ten years. All projects are selected for their genuine conservation value and volunteers are involved in a variety of ways: You might be nursing injured and orphaned animals at a wildlife care and rehabilitation centre or work with game rangers and field researchers, tracking predators and rhino through the bush and assisting with wildlife surveys and behavioural studies. There are also opportunities to work alongside a wildlife capture team or experienced wildlife vets, and volunteers at our marine conservation projects help to study and protect dolphins and whales in South Africa and Mauritius. Project participation is very flexible - we have opportunities all year round and volunteers can join a project from anywhere between 2-12 weeks.
