Accommodation for International Students
We are able to offer the following accommodation:
- Homestay
- Self catering accommodation
- Bath YMCA Hostel
Homestay
If you choose homestay accommodation, you will be living with a family. You will have your own single room but you will be sharing the rest of the facilities with the family. Families in Britain often have pets as well. Host family accommodation is not self-catering; it includes breakfast and an evening meal, and lunch is provided on Saturdays and Sundays.
Accommodation is provided by the College for a minimum of 4 weeks. If you want to stay with the family after the first 4 weeks, you need to arrange it with them.
If you wish to leave or change your host family accommodation before the agreed departure date, you need to inform the International Office immediately and give your host family 2 weeks' notice or pay 2 weeks' accommodation to your host family.
If you are attending courses for the full academic year, we recommend that you pay for the accommodation at the start of each term.
Self Catering Accommodation
We have a limited number of rooms, which are normally available to first year full time students, in student shared houses. If you choose to live in a student shared house, you will be living with other students. You will have your own single room but will share the bathroom, kitchen and sitting room with other students. This type of accommodation is self-catering.

Bath YMCA Hostel
Located in the city centre, only five minutes walk from the College, the YMCA Hostel offers economical accommodation in single and shared rooms with a shared bathroom in simple but pleasant surroundings. Facilities include a lunchtime restaurant and a fitness centre.
Costs
Homestay (family accommodation): £460-£560 per 4 weeks
You will need to pay the first four weeks' accommodation in advance, plus a £50 administration fee.
Student shared house accommodation: £370-£440 per 4 weeks
You will need to pay a deposit of £250 in advance, plus a £50 administration fee.

Bath YMCA Hostel:
- £202.50 per week. The mininum stay is 2 weeks
- £31.00 - £35.00 per single night, for stays of over 2 weeks
