Students' Union at City of Bath College
As a Further Education institution, City of Bath College has an active Students' Union (SU) on site at the heart of the College campus, located next to the Student Common Room and Careers Centre.
As a student enrolled at the City of Bath College you automatically become a member of the Students' Union and in turn a member of the National Union of Students (NUS). You will receive a Democracy Card and can apply for an NUS Extra Card (£10) which will entitle you to discounts nationally at retailers and exhibitions.
The active SU is run by an elected body of students incorporating a President and Executive Officers forming the Executive Committee. These students are elected from the entire student body at City of Bath College in a cross-campus ballot every May. Along with the SU staff members, these student officers are responsible for organising regular sports and social activities including parties, trips and the annual Summer Ball, representing students' needs to the College management.
Another vital role the SU provides is advising students on welfare matters. With a full-time welfare advisor on hand to deal with any issue that may arise, City of Bath College tries to ensure that students are able to complete their studies in the most stress-free and pleasant environment possible.
The NUS and City of Bath College SU will automatically enrol you as a student and you will receive a Democracy Card.
Alternatively you can apply for the NUS Extra Card allowing you access to great discounts and offers as well as providing the benefits of the International Student Identity Card.
