The Roper Building is a three-storey building providing a new reception and front of house facilities. On the ground floor there is a new student centre, cafeteria and shop. Public salons for hairdressing and beauty therapy and a new spa are housed on the first floor whilst the second floor will be used for the College's new Higher Education Centre. The new building is just over 2,000 square metres and is of contemporary design. It will provide our students and the community with high quality and state-of-the-art facilities. College students, including those doing Foundation Degrees in engineering, worked with contractors on the Roper Building to gain hands-on experience of the design, planning process and project management of such a building. |
