Arts, Crafts and Design
This is a Higher Education course for creative students wanting to pursue a career in the fashion and textiles industries.
This course will help you to become the adaptable new media designer, photographer and image producer that industry and business require.
In the past, design houses employed specifically skilled people for different roles. Today, multi-skilled computer literate designers are required who can design well and produce work for a variety of different media outputs, including web, TV, print, and computer games.
New for Sept 2010, this programme provides higher level studies in complementary crafts, specifically ceramics, glass and fine metals. The course is developed from a range of long established and highly regarded applied arts programmes offered within the Art and Design department. Bath is uniquely placed both historically and geographically to offer opportunities to forge links with the rich diversity of individual designer makers and businesses across this region, as well as providing easy access to London and the industrial West Midlands.
